Check your working hours preferences in Settings / Preferences. My guess is that you changed them not to be midnight to midnight. That explains why the time range is reduced. Most likely you get the permission whenever you open the dashboard over a “new” app. Indeed, the permission needs to be granted per app. Not great I know.
