Routine Desktop app won't open normally without killing processes and restarting

When Routine opens, it won’t launch into the app, rather into the screen that says “You need to upgrade your Routine app”. When killing the instances from Windows and relaunching Routine, it works. Also, the version shows 0.23-dirty.
