Notes bugs when creating new object of custom type in Windows Desktop

I have a custom type with Notes fields in it, and ran into a couple issues while trying to create an object

  • It just shows multiple notes sections throughout the creation modal, with no indication of which is which - they’re not labeled with their field name! I can’t even infer the right one by order, since the fields are in random order

    • I also don’t really see any other workarounds - text fields are only one line, so it seems like Notes fields are the only real multi-line option

  • The field that happens to come after one of these is uneditable! Clicking on it does nothing, so now I have other fields I can’t use.

I love your app so far and what you offer! Came here after trying out and/or looking into many other apps. There’s so much awesome potential here that I’m in the early stages of trying to take advantage of. But these are making it not fully usable, and I’m sad and somewhat blocked because of it.

    Hi. We are taking a look. You’re right, it should work though having multiple Notes is very rare. A bit of a corner case. May I ask your use case, it’s super interesting for us to understand.

      Yeah that’s fair. I suppose because the Notes field is like a normal page where you can do multiple blocks, I could possibly make do with one with sections inside it. But I also don’t want to have to duplicate creating those labeled sections each time (I do see that Templates are coming though, which would help with that). But even then, it wouldn’t show as separate columns in a table view (though it looks like nothing shows for those anyway?)

      In my particular use case, beyond the general notes, I wanted to create a section or labeled note to capture specific details, such as the reasoning for the final status of the object. Again, may be doable with templates and just the one notes section, but basically I’m looking to have a structured way to quickly find specific notes or details in a consistent structure, without having to copy-paste.
