It keeps saying I need to update app but I don't know how. It won't let me continue

Earlier today I got a notification saying I needed to update the app so I clicked on it and it closed the app but now I can’t open it again because it keeps showing the screen below. I’ve tried deleting the app and redownloading it but it still doesn’t work
